Washington fans certainly got their money's worth at RFK STADIUM. Brett
Myers(14-5) pitched a rare no-hitter as the Philadelphia Phillies toppled the
Washington Nationals 6 to 0.

Myers was just too much for Washington. He only walked one Washington batter.
What an evening for the fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the
7th inning on. With every out, the electricity in the air mounted. Myers
whiffed an impressive total of 10 Washington batters. Philadelphia finished
with 9 hits in the victory.

Tony Armas Jr(5-11) was the loser. It took a while to pry Myers way from his
teammates as they all wanted to show their appreciation and joy. Finally,
however, Charlie Manual got to offer his own congratulations with a big bear
hug and the comment, 'That was one of the best pitched games I have seen in
all my years in baseball - Myers was masterful out there tonight!'
