The Boston Red Sox had very little trouble at Fenway Park downing the New York
Yankees. The score was 11 to 3.
Boston jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 7th inning plating an
isolated run on 2 hits. Boston had 15 hits overall, while New York had 8.
Mickey McDermott(5-6) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Ernie Nevel(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief. He surrendered 8 runs in 2
innings and saw his ERA increase from 3.00 to 16.20.
