Tom Ferrick went 3 strong innings as the incredible New York Yankees defeated

the woeful Philadelphia Athletes in 12 innings by the score of 9 to 5 at

Shibe Park.



The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. New York was victorious

in the 12th inning. New York ended up with 18 hits for the game while

Philadelphia had 8.



Ferrick(10-4) went 3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Joe Murray(3-2) was

the loser in relief. He was knocked around by New York, allowing 7 hits and

4 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.
