In a good matchup it was the Cleveland Indians 6, the New York Yankees 4 at
Yankee Stadium.
Al Rosen led the offense for Cleveland. He blasted a two-run home run (his
18th of the season) in the 1st inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 3rd
inning and doubled bringing in a run in the 7th inning. Cleveland had 11
hits for the afternoon.
Bob Feller(9-5) allowed 4 runs in 5 innings, and picked up the victory. Sam
Zoldak was credited with his 5th save. The loss was charged to Vic
Raschi(8-6).
'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Feller said.
