starting the blog a little late

As i've already begun the season,I'm starting this blog in mid June with the Yankees off to a great start and a 8 1/2 game league over the Indians in the battle for the 1950 pennant.

Eddie Lopat pitched 11 strong innings and Billy Johnson hit a game winning HR in the 12th inning as the Bombers continue to roll and defeat the Detroit Tigers.
