Dizzy Trout shut down the New York batters on just 2 hits as the Detroit

Tigers beat the New York Yankees by a score of 1 to 0.

Trout(8-6) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the New York offense. He

was stingy on the mound, allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. New

York could do no damage in the 9th.

Joe Ostrowski(6-3) suffered the loss. He gave up 1 run and 7 hits in 8

innings.
