provided the offense with a solo home run (his 1st of the season). New York
threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Hank Wyse(7-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 and 1/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Johnny Kucab earned the save, his 4th. Vic Raschi(10-10)
was charged with the loss.
